As proposed earlier in the week, AirAsia has announced that they have upped the frequency of flights from the Gold Coast to Kuala Lumpur to 6x weekly. View the new flight schedule.
As per AirAsia’s ongoing international sale, fares are still available for $149 one way, $303 return including tax. Sale is now until 9 August or until sold out, for travel between 20 October and 10 January, 2010. Not bad, Christmas holiday fares! Looks like Santa came early this year.

Jetstar have released yet another rediculous New Zealand sale, offering fares from Sydney to Auckland and Christchurch for $119 one way, $204 return inc tax! Sale is on now until Thursday, 29th July, for the travel periods of 4 August to 15 September and 20 October to 9 December.
If you have left your New Zealand ski plans really late, this may be your final call to pick up a cheap Winter fare before the Queenstown slopes swap out their skis for mountain bikes and trail boots. Fares to NZ don’t get much cheaper than this and it’s impossible to predict if they will be as affordable next season (or the snow as plentiful)!

Jump in quick: Jetstar have just launched their Sydney – Perth route and are offering $99 fares for the travel period of 20 October- 10 December, but only until 1pm today! Usual fares offered by Tiger Airways are about $199 one way, so if you have ever wanted to experience the west coast, this is the time.

Malaysia Airlines have made a point of flogging their Perth to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia route every weekend for the last month, so forgive me for the repetition.
