Accor Hotels is offering 2,000 bonus points if you sign up for a free A|Club Loyalty Membership using the following promo code:

2,000 points is redeemable for $60USD / $70AUD of hotel credit, which equates to a pretty sweet discount off your next Accor hotel stay.

Once you sign up, you can select to have your bonus points converted into a hotel voucher by signing into your account by using your new membership number (as sent to your email address), then selecting “Hotel Rewards“. Hack note: Although I do not recommend doing such things, there is always the potential that your spouse and dog may be interested in such memberships, too. Last time another hotel chain ran a similar promotion, a creepy-looking soft toy called Domo wanted a membership and funnily enough, signed up using my name. A few iterations later and with some booking tomfoolery on Domo’s part, I went on vacation and found myself staying in a pleasant Kuala Lumpur hotel for $12 a night. Strange but true story.

If you save up an additional 2,000 points (bringing your account balance to 4,000), you can also redeem them for 4,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points. That said, I’m very Gen Y and believe the instant gratification of a free hotel voucher is by far the superior choice.
