United Airlines: Sydney to New York and LA from $887 return inc. tax

Just when we thought the Australia – US price war couldn’t get any more unsustainable, United Airlines has decided to affirm a grip over their stake by offering $887 return fares from Sydney to New York and LA. That said, Qantas, Delta and V Australia are all jostling for their slice (with Delta even suggesting unlimited alcohol on their haul), so don’t think this will be the last word on the discount fares scene.
